BFMS is having its second annual “Running Of The Dogs”
What is the Running of the Dogs? This is a fundraiser to generate funds for academic field trips. Money from this event goes towards trips like Nature’s Classroom, Green Mountain Orchards, Look Park, Winter Carnival and more.
How does the pledge work? Students will receive a pledge sheet from their advisory teacher. We are asking students to set a pledge goal of at least $5. They can ask parents, relatives, neighbors and family friends to pledge money to support them reaching their goal distance. They should collect the money prior to the event. There are prizes for the top fundraise for each grade and a reward for the grade that raises the most money.
What happens during the Running Of The Dogs? On November 21st from 12:30 – 2:30, participating students will take buses to the high school. When they arrive, they will try to meet their fundraising goals by running or walking the outdoor trails. For example, if their goal was to run 3K, they would choose the 3K loop, complete it and receive a 3K bracelet. After the running and walking event, refreshments will be served and students can choose to participate in outdoor games.
Thank you for supporting our students and school!
