The boys and girls track teams competed at the CVL Championships this weekend – 28 schools were represented at the CVL.
The boys had a historic finish and placed 3rd overall, which is the highest finish the BF boys have ever had. The boys were led by meet MVP, Harrison Gleim, who won the 100 meter, the triple jump, and the 200 meter. Jon Terry, William Noble, Owen LaRoss, and Hector Lavale also contributed points to help secure a 3rd place finish. Harrison holds school records in the following: 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, triple jump, 4×100 relay, and the 4×200 relay.
The girls also had a historic finish, by finishing first as a team, and being the 2018 CVL Champions! The girls were lead by very strong 8th grade leadership. Abby Broadley easily won the mile to start the points, and was followed by strong races from teammates. Maya Waryas placed 2nd in the 400 meter, 3rd in the triple jump, and anchored the school record setting relay team. The relay team was: Maya, Ashlynn Boucher, Grace Bazin and Abby Broadley. Ashlynn also placed 2nd in the triple jump and 4th in the 400 meter. Bre Stockman placed 2nd in the shot put.
